Tracebridge Sourdough

BEFORE

The owners of Tracebridge Sourdough, Katie Venner and Gordon Woodcock,  wanted to expand the workshop side of their business and wind down baking for local markets.

The Problem

Their existing website was a muddle of different messages, and the business needed real work on it's positioning.

The Solution

I redesigned the website to have a clearer message both visually and through the written text. The goal was to show off the beauty of the venue, it's position as the heart of the community as well as a serious place for learning.

AFTER

The Results

The bakery has been able to successfully phase out their regular baking for markets and expand the workshops which are regularly sold out. They're currently growing an unadvertised premium workshop model and attracting students from as far away as China.

In addition, the owners are sought out as authorities in the subject of sourdough baking and fermenting.

Since the new website was launched, the bakery has been featured in various local publications, was used for an upcoming television cookery show and will appear in Country Living Magazine later this year.

They attribute their growth directly to the work done with JIG, especially the website redesign.
